The Club's CCC Coin Bank is currently located at the Miller-Dwan cafeteria. Thank you Greta!
Magazine Drive for the Valley Youth Center!
Keep saving your magazines, catalogs and other "shiny" paper items indefinitely for recycling to help the VYC pay for their new-used passenger van! Bring them to a meeting, or to arrange for pickup of larger quantities, call the VYC at (218) 628-4897 or contact us.
Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank - Feeding America!
We pack food the 3rd Wednesday of odd-numbered months from 4:30 to 6:30pm at the Food Bank's warehouse - 4503 Airpark Blvd. We distribute food from the warehouse the 2nd Wednesday of even-numbered months from 4:15 to 6pm. We also distribute food on the first Thursday of every month - noon to 1pm - from the Lincoln Park Center, 2018 W. 3rd St. If you'd like to help or are now totally confused, contact us!
Meeting Programs & Speakers
The Duluth Noon Optimist Club meets Tuesdays, noon to 1pm, at the Incline Station, 601 W. Superior St. Free parking in the north lot. Pay us a visit - lunch is on us - and enjoy the program!
We strive to offer a compelling program at least several times each month at our weekly meetings. If you would like to speak to our group, are aware of someone that would or have a topic of interest to suggest, we'd love to hear from you! Please call (218) 724-3941, or contact us here.
Please check the

The Optimist Creed
Promise Yourself . . . .
. . . to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
. . . to talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
. . . to make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
. . . to look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
. . . to think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
. . . to be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
. . . to forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
. . . to wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
. . . to give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
. . . to be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
