Meet our newest member, Pam Porisch!
Pam has a passion for helping kids and a burning desire to be an author! She's come to Duluth by way of Minneapolis, but spent most of her time in Hutchinson, MN where she's been a teacher, realtor and marketing professional. The past several years she's been with the Spinoza Bear Company, most recently as an Ambassador, making her a natural to become a member of the Duluth Noon Optimist Club! Full time employment is her current goal, but if that isn't meant to be just yet, then studying at one of our local campuses would be just fine with Pam.
Pam enjoys an active lifestyle that includes camping, gardening, dancing, swimming, several creative endeavors and traveling! She loves children, classical music, reading and spending time with her family - two daughters, a son-in-law and dog, Yoda Bear! She's also a Handbell Choir enthusiast and prefers her bacon burnt!
Pam is an Optimist Club member "because they stand for what I believe in - children and a positive attitude." Being new to Duluth - only 5 months now - she "felt this was the best group to join to make new friends, network and give back." Welcome Pam - we're glad you chose us, too!

The Optimist Creed
Promise Yourself . . . .
. . . to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
. . . to talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
. . . to make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
. . . to look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
. . . to think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best.
. . . to be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
. . . to forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
. . . to wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
. . . to give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
. . . to be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
